Gabon meets the challenge of reforming the civil registry

he government of Gabon is undertaking a large-scale project that seeks to reform and consolidate the civil registry by means of a centralised strategy based on the development of biometric data. This project is thus taking steps toward implementing the sixth objective of the Rabat Process: to render civil registries secure and to streamline their management.

n the spirit of the Rabat Process, it is clear that the State must play a central role in the proper management of migration. This management must involve all levels of State activity (national, regional and municipal).
